Nancy Colella is the Principal of NYS Sustainable Corp. As a curator and managing procurement officer, Nancy is dedicated to designing, organizing, and implementing renewable energy integration projects for the commercial industry throughout Long Island, NYC, the 5 boroughs and the United States. With over 15 years as a professional within the legal, commercial real estate, contractor, and sustainability industry, NYS Sustainable Corp. was launched to steward the facilitation of commercial 'GreenTech Integration' for the CRE community and the execution of it's progressive climate plan initiatives.
Ms. Colella understands what truly drives decision-makers and notes, “It is not about selling- it is about educating and fortifying the right relationships to collaborate, support and simplify the needs and goals of the business model and landlord”. “Whilst, never forgetting relevant common interests and always being a contributor of knowledge as - "Only Solutions Truly Matter.”
Ms. Colella is the curator of the LIU Post ‘Commercial Sustainability Series’ and lead Co-Chair to the program alongside the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Long Island, NY Chapter. In addition to her educational outreach within the commercial real estate community on resiliency and sustainability, Ms. Colella members: the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS), REBNY, the Bronx Chamber of Commerce, and the Habitat for Humanity, Women’s Build committee. In previous appointments, Nancy was a member of the Nassau County Comptroller's office- Environmental Committee; under Nassau County Comptroller. As a community advocate, Ms. Colella is a current local member of the Oyster Bay Main St. Association and continues to offer insight and direct clean energy resources for the Oyster Bay municipality. As a result, the Town of Oyster Bay is under exploration towards the integration of 'Green Technology' and renewable resource solutions for the 20 Million SF Portfolio. Today NYSSC has procured over 30 Million SF of Renewable Integration via Fuel Cell, Utility-Scale, Commercial Property delivering and saving over 300 Megawatts of secured power delivery.
Recently, Ms. Colella was appointed a chair member to the Habitat for Humanity, Nassau County, Board and the Sustainability Committee board member within CIBS - The Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island, amongst other Commercial Real Estate related associations.
